Drawn from pin dimensions at one scale across the whole site — hold a plug against the screen and it should look familiar.

The two-pin workhorse of continental Europe and much of the world beyond it — a flat, unearthed plug standardized as CEE 7/16 for double-insulated, low-draw devices like phone chargers and lamps. Its genius is diplomatic: the slightly convergent 4 mm pins flex enough to make contact in nearly every round-pin socket on the continent, which is why almost no country installs Type C sockets yet almost every European device ships with a Type C plug.

What fits a Type C socket

Only its own plug — nothing else seats in a Type C socket. Type C is really a plug standard, not a socket: the plugs live in E, F, H, J, K, L and N sockets. A dedicated C socket is rare.
