230 V · 50 Hz on Type D, Type C, Type F, Type G, Type M.

Indian-style round-pin Type D is the traditional socket at 230 V 50 Hz, but hotels increasingly fit multi-standard outlets that also take G, Schuko F and europlug C; Type M appears on heavier circuits. A D or G adapter covers most situations.

The voltage window

A nominal 230 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 207 and 253 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
