220/110 V · 50 Hz on Type C, Type F.

European-style wiring: plain two-pin Type C and recessed Schuko Type F sockets are the norm, so europlugs work everywhere. The IEC still records 110 V alongside 220 V, a holdover from older networks, but 220 V is the figure to plan for — check the label on anything single-voltage before plugging in.

The voltage window

A nominal 220 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 198 and 242 V (±10%); A nominal 110 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 99 and 121 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
