230 V · 50 Hz on Type D, Type C, Type M.

The round-pin Type D socket, rated 5 A, is the classic fitting, with the heavier Type M handling 15 A loads like air conditioners; two-pin Type C europlugs squeeze into many outlets too. At 230 V and 50 Hz the voltage matches Europe, so continental visitors usually need nothing more than a Type D adapter.

The voltage window

A nominal 230 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 207 and 253 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
