240 V · 50 Hz on Type G, Type A, Type C, Type M.

British-style Type G is the everyday socket, and the IEC lists 240 V at 50 Hz — the top of the 230 V family. Types A, C and the big round-pin M also circulate, mainly on shavers, audio gear and air conditioners. UK, Singapore and Hong Kong plugs work as-is; everyone else should pack a Type G adapter.

The voltage window

A nominal 240 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 216 and 264 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
