127/220 V · 50 Hz on Type C, Type E.

French-style wiring: two-pin Type C sockets plus Type E with its protruding earth pin, at 50 Hz. The IEC still records 127 V alongside 220 V — a legacy of the old network that lingers in some districts — so check the outlet before plugging in anything sensitive. Plugs from France fit directly.

The voltage window

A nominal 127 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 114 and 140 V (±10%); A nominal 220 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 198 and 242 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
