220 V · 50 Hz on Type A, Type B, Type C, Type O, Type F.

Sockets are usually universal hybrids that swallow flat Type A and B blades as well as round Type C pins, and the national-standard Type O is built around the same footprint; Type F appears on some earthed equipment. Plug shape is rarely the problem — the 220 V supply is what catches out North American visitors.

The voltage window

A nominal 220 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 198 and 242 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
