Same setup as its French and Spanish neighbours: 230 V 50 Hz with recessed Type F Schuko sockets that also take two-pin Type C europlugs. If your kit works in Barcelona or Toulouse it works here; UK and North American visitors need adapters.

The voltage window

A nominal 230 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 207 and 253 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
