230 V · 50 Hz on Type F, Type C.

Norway uses recessed Schuko Type F sockets at 230 V and 50 Hz, so earthed Schuko plugs and two-pin europlugs from the rest of continental Europe fit directly. Travellers from the UK, Ireland and North America need adapters, and anything built for 120 V must be dual-voltage before it meets a Norwegian wall.

The voltage window

A nominal 230 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 207 and 253 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
