240 V · 50 Hz on Type G, Type C, Type M.

British-influenced wiring at 240 V 50 Hz: fused Type G is the standard socket, with two-pin Type C and heavy-duty Type M also recorded. UK plugs fit directly, everyone else wants a Type G adapter. Air conditioners on the beefier Type M circuits are not something a traveller will ever plug into.

The voltage window

A nominal 240 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 216 and 264 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
