Wired the French way: Type E sockets with the protruding earth pin plus plain two-pin Type C, at 230 V and 50 Hz. Plugs from France fit directly and europlugs fit everything. UK visitors need a shape adapter; North American appliances also need dual-voltage capability at this supply voltage.

A nominal 230 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 207 and 253 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
