220 V · 50 Hz on Type I, Type C, Type G.

Australian-pattern Type I dominates Vanuatu's sockets at 220 V, 50 Hz, a legacy of close ties with Australia; the IEC also records Type C and G outlets. Australians and New Zealanders mostly plug straight in, while other visitors are safest with a small universal adapter.

The voltage window

A nominal 220 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 198 and 242 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
