United Arab Emirates.

230 V · 50 Hz on Type G, Type M.

British-standard Type G sockets are fitted almost everywhere, with the heavy round-pin Type M recorded for high-current equipment such as air conditioners. At 230 V and 50 Hz, UK visitors plug straight in and Europeans need only a shape adapter; 120 V devices need dual-voltage support to survive.

The voltage window

A nominal 230 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 207 and 253 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
