220 V · 50 Hz on Type I.

Tuvalu uses Australian-pattern Type I sockets on a 220 V, 50 Hz supply. Visitors from Australia or New Zealand plug in directly; everyone else needs a Type I adapter. On atolls this remote, power comes from island generation, so treat supply stability accordingly for sensitive equipment.

The voltage window

A nominal 220 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 198 and 242 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
