220 V · 50 Hz on Type M.

One of the few places where the heavy round-pin Type M is the only listed standard, at 220 V and 50 Hz. Adapters made for South Africa's large round-pin sockets are exactly what you need, and they are easiest to buy before arriving rather than on the ground.

The voltage window

A nominal 220 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 198 and 242 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
