Guatemala follows the US standard: 120 V 60 Hz on flat-blade Type A and earthed Type B sockets. North American devices plug straight in. Europeans need an adapter for the pins and should verify the 100–240 V input marking on each device, since anything rated 230 V only will not run on this supply.

The voltage window

A nominal 120 V supply may legitimately sit anywhere between 108 and 132 V (±10%). Dual-voltage gear (marked 100–240 V) shrugs at all of it.
