One plug for the whole continent: Type I, two angled flat blades over a vertical earth pin, usually on a socket with its own rocker switch — flip it on or nothing happens. The 230 V 50 Hz supply matches Europe electrically, so dual-voltage gear needs only an adapter; single-voltage 120 V appliances from North America need a transformer too.
